1. Genetic Preservation (GP): Securing Your Dog's Legacy

The cornerstone of successful cloning is obtaining and preserving your dog's genetic material.

• For Living Dogs: This typically involves a straightforward, non-invasive procedure where your veterinarian collects a small tissue sample. This sample contains the vital genetic information needed for cloning. These cells are then carefully cultured and cryopreserved through our Gene Preservation (GP) service, ensuring they are viable for cloning whenever you are ready.
• If Your Dog Has Recently Passed Away: We understand that loss can be sudden. While more time-sensitive, it may still be possible to collect a viable sample.
• Please contact Nexuspetai immediately. We will provide urgent guidance on how to preserve the body to maximize the chances of successful tissue collection. Rapid action is key in these circumstances.

2. The Cloning Procedure

Once we have a healthy, cryopreserved cell line:

• We carefully transfer the genetic material from your donor dog's cell into an egg cell from which its own nucleus has been precisely removed (an enucleated oocyte).
• This reconstructed egg, now containing your dog's complete genetic blueprint, is stimulated to develop into an embryo.
• The developing embryo is then gently transferred to a surrogate mother dog, who will carry the pregnancy to term. The cloned puppy will grow and develop naturally, just like any other puppy.
